Halloween Craft Program

Get ready for Halloween by creating a trick-or-treat bag at the West University Library on Wednesday October 27 at 3:15 PM. All supplies will be provided and children may use markers, stickers and glue-on shapes to customize their bags to collect candy.

Summer Reading Program Winner at WU

SRP winner

Yolanda Athaide is the winner of a $50 gift certificate from Amazon.  She succesfully completed ReaderNation, and her name was chosen from all the participants at West University Library.  This is the second year that Yolande has participated in the Adult SRP, along with her two children. She describes herself as a having been a big reader since she was a child, and her parents always said that she could never set a book down. These days she mainly reads children's books, so that she stays one step ahead of her children. Recently she enjoyed reading the young adult novel, The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate, by Jacqueline Kelly.
Yolande plans on using her gift card to purchase a world history book for her family.
