oh goody!

The Aldine Library has another winner in the Adult Summer Reading Program. All adults who completed their summer reading logs were entered in a drawing for our branch prize, a $30 gift card from Amazon.com. Our winner is Ms. Rosa Bullard.

Congratulations, Rosa, and enjoy your gift card!

Volunteer Clean-Up Day

Aldine volunteers

It has been a busy summer here at the Aldine Library. That's the way we like it. Now that the Summer Reading Program has drawn to a close- and with school getting ready to start- we decided the library could use a good cleaning. This morning, a few good volunteers from the community stepped up to the plate and went above and beyond the work provided by the library janitorial service. Tables, computers, doors, windows and desks got a good swabbing. Thanks to the effort of our teen and adult volunteers, the building is looking nice, neat, and extra clean.

Snakes in the Library!

In case you missed it there were snakes in the Aldine Library on Wednesday, August 1st! Not to worry. The snakes were part of an informative and educational Summer Reading Program event featuring Texas Snakes & More. Everyone had a slithering good time.
