Homework Hour

The Beginning of Something Wonderful by tbonzzz_6Join us in the Zone on Tuesday, January 10th @ 4:30 PM for the first Homework Hour of 2012!

Winter Break has come to an end and we’re now facing the reality of another semester back in school.  Every other Tuesday throughout the Spring Semester the Teen Zone is a dedicated Homework Zone.  Stop by the Teen Zone during any Homework Hour to work on daily assignments or upcoming projects.  Meredith will be on hand to help you with research questions, to help you find sources, to help you use Word or Powerpoint, or to help you with source citation.  As always, snacks will be provided to help fuel your concentration.

2012 Maverick Spotlight: Graphic Novels for High School and Mature Readers

DC Hero Minifigs - Wave 5 by levorkThe Maverick Graphic Novel Reading List for 2012 has just been announced and there are some awesome reads included this year!  The Maverick List promotes recreational reading for teens and tweens in 6th through 12th grades.  Check out some of these great graphic novels for 9th-12th grade readers or teens who are transitioning to adult books.  Or you can check out the entire 2012 Maverick List!
