THANKS TO THE FRIENDS OF LA PORTE LIBRARY

As we start a new year of service to La Porte, we want to say a big THANK YOU to the Friends of La Porte Library. Their tireless efforts make our summer programming possible and their financial support allows us to add those extras to our service to the community especially in these times of budget constraints. If you wish to join their efforts, membership is a bargain. Student/Senior Citizen - $5.00, Individual - $10.00, Family - $15.00, Group/Business - $25.00.

LOOKING FOR LEGAL FORMS?

Many times we need a legal form for wills, lease agreements, or power of attorney. The library is just the place to turn. In addition to the many books we have on legal forms we have a database specifically for Texas legal forms. You just start at our website www.hcpl.net and go to databases. Then choose Law and Government. Under that heading you will find Thomson Gale Legal Forms. You will need your library card number and four digit PIN to access the database.

GRINCH VISITS LA PORTE STORYTIME

Tuesday's storytime had a surprise visitor, that creature who's heart was two sizes too small. Lucky for us we got to see Mr. Grinch after he found out the true meaning of Christmas and his heart had grown 3 sizes bigger. The children were delighted to meet him and a good time was had by all.

She came to love these rag dolls through the books which her older sister patiently read to her over and over again. You too can read some of these stories and cultivate your own love for these two kind-hearted characters created for his daughter Marcella by Johnny Gruelle.
