Where do you find public postings?

One of the perhaps unknown services the La Porte Community Library offers is as a site for public display of industry permit applications and environmental impact documents. The various surrounding plants are diligent in providing this information to the public. If you wish to read any of this important literature, stop by the information desk and a librarian will guide you to it.

We the People Bookshelf

La Porte is one of several branches to receive a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities in cooperation with the American Library Association. Look for our display of a collection of 17 books on the “Picturing America” theme. These books are designed to encourage people of all ages to read great literature while exploring themes in American history.
