HAPPY 200TH BIRTHDAY, CHARLES DICKENS

I'm sure you were required to read some of Charles Dickens' work in school and you thought never again.  However, there is a reason his books have lasted as classics. They are simply great stories of people dealing with life as it happens. So in honor of his 200th birthday, pick up one (or more) of his books and rediscover his greatness. GRINCH VISITS LA PORTE COMMUNITY LIBRARY

A certain green person greeted the storytime children on Tuesday, December 20. Yes, that's right the Grinch made his annual visit to La Porte. Luckily he never tries to take our tree or the ornaments but instead hands out cookies and hugs. I guess his heart did "grow three sizes that day."
