Do It Yourself Craft: Time to Decoupage

(c) http://www.theartzoo.com

We have been having so much fun this summer with our adult craft program DIY!  In June, we learned how to decorate cakes.  In July, we learned to knit.  And now, this coming Wednesday at 2 PM, we will be learning the art of decoupage.  We'll be taking plain boring boxes and other shapes and covering them with beautiful cutouts to make nice little knickknacks and places to store little keepsakes.  Don't worry, all the materials will be provided.  All you need to do is click here to register beforehand.  We'll see you then!

We All Read, wii All Bowl!

Summer is almost over.  You know what that means, RIGHT?!  It time for the Maud Marks annual wii Read Family League Bowling Tournament.  The tournament will be in 2 weeks, on August 9 at 1:30 PM but you can register your team starting on Monday at the library.  Think about it and get creative.  Choose your family's book name and costume then, brush up on those bowling skills.  Prizes will be given for highest game score, highest over all score, team name, and more!  Join us for refreshments and fun.   Sign up just yourself, or get the whole family to join it.  Pick up a registration form from a librarian starting on Monday.

Check out our calendar for details on this and other fun activities to do as we wind down this summer.

Aloha Summer!

It's summer!  What are your travel plans for these lazy months?  What about a (virtual) trip to Hawaii?  Join us next Tuesday night at 7 PM as Dora Morton takes us all around paradise.  Discover Hawaiian Island Volcanoes National Park, the vibrant shores of Waikiki Beach, the dramatic cliffs of the Napali Coast on Kauai, and more! We can't wait to find out all these Pacific islands have to offer and see the incredible beauty from right here in our air conditioned library.  Seating for this and most programs is limited, so click here to register for this or other programs at the library.
