Where Do You Want Books to Take You?

Books lined on the floorOne of the Aldine Branch Library toddlers got away from her mom long enough to make an excellent point, whether she was aware of it or not. Books can be a pathway to something new—a new culture, new ideas, new people. Come see where books can lead you. We just ask that you don’t walk on them.

Aldine Teens Make Movies

Students Taking PicturesBefore the summer break, teens at the Aldine Branch Library had a blast making short films. Once school starts back, we will continue to meet at least once a week to work on some new film projects. Teens, come and join us in creating some movies.

Students between the ages of 12-18 will need to contact Ryan Fennell, the Young Adult Librarian, for details. Space is limited!

Old School Teen Time

playing cards, board game, dominosSince the Aldine Branch has been hosting Web 2.Yo! for the teens the last three weeks, an Old School Teen Time will be held to balance out this technology overload we’ve been having. The event will be like our regular Teen Time this summer, but strictly BVG (Before Video Games). So come Tuesday, July 28th from 3 pm to 5 pm and enjoy card games, board games, and other games that don’t have plugs. All are welcome. Parents, this is the perfect opportunity to “old school” your kids in the games you played back in the day!
