Are you tired of waiting for the latest bestseller to come in? Check out our display at the Maud Marks Branch Library of bestseller read-alikes! There are a variety of genres and characters from detectives to vampire hunters. We also have bookmarks available with a variety of titles, and we’re happy to offer suggestions. See you at the library!

All Harris County Libraries are closed on Friday, April 2. Our regular programs though Thursday, April 1 will continue as scheduled and we will be open Saturday, April 3 from 10am – 5 pm. Thank you!

Activity for Grandparents & Grandchildren!

The Maud Marks Library would like to invite seniors and other older adults along with their grandchildren to try out our Wii console this Thursday from 1-2pm.  Don’t know how to play?  Don’t worry; we’ll have people here to show you how it’s done.  Refreshments are included and pre-registration is required.  Just click or call us at 281-492-8592.

Are you interested in volunteering at the Maud Marks Branch Library? Our next mandatory orientation for teen volunteers is Tuesday, March 9 at 7pm. Be sure to fill out an application before you come; we have them at the reference desk or you can print one from here. If you can’t make this orientation our next one is Thursday, April 15 at 3pm. Thanks for your help!

Save Some $

Looking to save some money in these tough times? Don’t forget that the AARP offers free tax assistance at the library! Here at Maud Marks come on Mondays or Fridays from 10am to 2pm to get your return done. Be sure to bring all of your W2 forms, 1099 forms, ID, Social Security Card, Social Security numbers for dependants, and checking account routing and account numbers if you want to file electronically.  Not available Monday or Friday mornings? Here are other locations where you can get assistance.  If you would like forms to review ahead of time click here.
