New Year Craft

On Wednesday, February 24 at 4:30pm elementary school-aged kids are invited to join us at the Maud Marks Branch for Afternoon Art! We’ll be making New Year blossoms like the ones above.

What Are Your Resolutions?

Attention seniors: are you interested in learning a new skill? Join us at the Maud Marks Branch Library at 1pm on Thursday, Feb 18 for our February Senior Moments event. Houston Community College representative Manuela Izaguirre will discuss HCC’s Lifelong Learning program.  With HCC, you can learn about computers, digital cameras, stained glass and more! Seating for this and all programs is limited. Please click or call the Maud Marks Library at 281-492-8592 for more information and to register.

Remember When . . .

Stop by and look at our Books for All Free for All display of pictures and memorabilia! These items are from the beginning of the Harris County Public Library from the 1920s through the 1930s. Here at the Maud Marks Branch display we have photos, McGuffey Readers, and more! You can even record your memories of the library in a notebook.

Volunteer Orientation

If you’re in high school and interested in volunteering at the Maud Marks Branch Library don’t forget to attend Volunteer Orientation tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7pm. Orientation is mandatory for all new volunteers. If you haven’t filled out an application yet you can pick one up from the reference desk or print one here.

Hop on the Bookmobile!

The Digital Bookmobile is coming! Stop by the Maud Marks Branch Library on Wednesday, January 27 between noon and 6pm to learn more about downloading materials from the Harris County Library! The event is free and if you visit the Bookmobile you can register to win one of the MP3 players donated by Best Buy at 5340 Grand Parkway!
