JC's 2009 Adult ReaderNation Winner

This years Adult ReaderNation Winner is Alma De Ochoa.  Congratulations Alma!  Alma is a mother and she enjoys bringing her children to the library for activities because they love to read.  She signed up for ReaderNation because she loves to read whether their is a program or not.  What she enjoyed the most this summer was meeting other adults in the program and reading the Twilight series with her daughter.  She plans on using her Amazon.com gift card to purchase the movie and audio of Twilight.  Alma said she always finds what she needs in the library.  She loved the program, was able to meet new people and will participate again next summer.

Adult SRP Party at JC!

Jacinto City had a record number of Adult Summer Reading Program sign ups this year.  We had 43 adults sign up this year!  Many of the adults didn't know HCPL had an SRP for them. Thanks to the Circulation Staff at our branch, they learned about the program.  To celebrate this milestone, we had a party for the all the adults who participated in this year's program.  Everyone was excited to come to the party and meet the other adults who had signed up for the program.  They thought it was great to have a program of their own and can't wait for next summer's program!
