Week of the Young Child Celebration

Save the date!  The Fairbanks Branch Library will celebrate the upcoming Week of the Young Child (April 14-19) with a special program during Preschool Storytime on Tuesday, April 09, at 10:30 am.  Storytime will feature a DVD with a Curious George program episode followed by songs and activities.  Don't miss this exciting and fun program!  See you then!

Time to Play Ball!

Peanuts!  Cracker Jacks!  Cold sodas!  Hot Dogs!  Yes, it's time for that great American pastime...Baseball!  Players are getting into uniform and having batting practice to get ready for a springtime and summer of games.  If you are a baseball fan, please browse our new display of baseball themed books here at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Hopefully, you will books to checkout, and don't forget that we can interlibrary loan materials for you if we don't have it here.  So, Batter Up! and Happy Reading!

Crafting Ideas @ Your Library

Calling all kids who like to plan and make craft projects!  The Fairbanks Branch Library has a display of craft books just for you.  Please browse the books on the display on your next visit to the library and see if some of them are good sources of ideas for you to use.  If you don't find what you need, please ask the library staff to interlibrary loan some books for you.  Happy Crafting and Happy Reading!

Hop Into Spring @ Your Library

Storybook Quilts Storytimes @ Your Library

Storybook Quilts will be visiting our Preschool Storytime next Tuesday, March 12, at 10:30 am and also Thursday, March 14, at 10:30 am.  A member of the Storybook Quilts Guild will be reading a quilt-themed book and showing a quilt especially made to complement the book. Please join us for an exciting and educational experience at one or both of these storytimes.  See you then!  Happy Reading!
