That Was The Week That Was @ Your Library

Wow!  Last week was quite a program-filled time at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  The Museum of Fine Arts Art Camp was meeting Monday through Friday, and Friday was the trip to the museum during which the participants viewed several works of art that they had studied during the week, and also worked on an art project in one of the craft rooms at the museum.  Ronald McDonald entertained children and parents with an exciting and humorous magic show on Wednesday afternoon, and Mr. Clint of Texas Snakes brought several snakes--small and large--for everyone to touch and hold on Thursday afternoon.  Many of the children had their picture taken while holding one of the snakes--especially the really long albino snake!  So, a busy week indeed, and all part of the Summer Reading Program activities @ Your Library.  Here are some pictures from the programs.  Happy Summer Reading!

Monday Afternoons @ The Movies

How about spending a couple of hours relaxing with a good movie?  You can do exactly that on the afternoons of Monday, July 23 and Monday, July 30 here at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  On each of those afternoons, the library will be showing a movie from 3:00-5:00 pm in the library meeting room.  To find out the titles of the two movies ("PG" and "PG-13"), please call the library at 713-466-4438.  Along with the movies, we will have some snacks for you to enjoy.  So, save the dates for Movie Mondays at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Happy Viewing!
