Have you enjoyed a program or the services at the library?  Thank the Friends of the Library!  Or better yet, join the Friends of the Library!  So much of what we are able to do here is because of the effort of the Friends of the Bear Creek Library.  Do you use our library, but you’re not sure what programs the Friends benefit?  Click the video to see a small sample of the things we are able to do, thanks to our Friends!

 

TAX HELP @ YOUR LIBRARY

LAST chance!  If you need help preparing your taxes, now is the time to come to the North Channel Library. Thursday, April 11th,  from noon to 4 pm, the experienced pros from AARP will be here to prepare tax returns for low income and elderly customers. Please bring your tax return from last year as well as your W-2's and other papers for this year. You may sign-up as early as 10 am this Thursday inside the Library! Free Tax Help

It’s almost here—Tax Day, that is!  Taxes will be due on Monday, April 15th…are you prepared?  If you’re not, then we have just the program for you!  On Tuesday, April 9th and Friday, April 12th volunteers from the AARP will be at our location to assist you with your taxes—for the low, low price of free!  Please bring a copy of last year’s return, W-2 forms from each employer, all 1099s, and receipts or cancelled checks for itemizing.  You must have Social Security cards for yourself and dependents. 

Sign-up sheets for the free tax help will be available at our Information Desk starting at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, and posted to our front doors between 12:00-12:30 PM on Friday.  First come, first served.  Don’t delay!  This is the final week the AARP volunteers will be at our location for 2013!

Last Chance For Tax Assistance @ Stratford

This Tuesday, April 9th, will be the last day for Tax Assistance from AARP.  Assistance is available from 11 am - 3 pm and a first come, first served sign up sheet begins when we open at 10 am. The Tax Man Cometh

Here you are minding your own business and before you know it the tax deadline is almost here. Fortunately our good friends from AARP will still be here Mondays and Fridays 10:00am – 2:00pm up until April 15th.  That means you only have four more chances to bring in your tax information if you have questions or need help with your taxes. Be sure to bring all of your paperwork and Social Security numbers for everyone listed on your return.
