Book Sale @ North Channel This Weekend

girl readingHelp the library raise money and stock your bookshelves at the same time!  The Friends of the North Channel Library will be holding their monthly Book Sale this Friday, October 3rd and Saturday, October 4th during the library's open hours.  The Friends group has all types of books and movies for sale.  All proceeds from the sale go directly to the North Channel Library to fund various library needs, such as summer

Then stop by North Channel and see Faithful Paws this Saturday, September 20th from 3 pm to 4 pm.   Faithful Paws is an organization that brings dogs who love to hear kids read to them!  Help build reading confidence and cuddle a new pal at the same time!  

Hispanic Heritage Craft @ NChannel

 It's Fiesta time! Create a unique craft project to kick-off Hispanic Hertiage Month this Wednesday, September 17 at 4:30pm with us! We'll be making "Mexican Folk Art Mirrors" and enjoying themed local refreshments too. So don't miss it...the program will be in the Public Meeting Room. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Ask A Lawyer @ North Channel Library

lawyerOur popular "Ask A Lawyer" program will be held this Saturday, September 13th from 11 am - 12:30 pm in our Meeting Room.  This free legal clinic is presented by Angela D. Johnson, Attorney at Law.  Ms. Johnson will be answering legal questions and addressing issues that are important to the community.  Please join us for a chance for some free legal guidance.

Storybook Opera @ the Library!

 

Did you know opera is for kids too? The internationally renowned award-winning Houston Grand Opera is a local gem! Sandra Campbell will be here performing Kitten's First Full Moon and Muncha! Muncha! Muncha! picture books on Tuesday, September 9th at 1:30pm. For groups or more information please call the library at 281-457-1631. The performance is short -so don't be late!

Strings Attached
