Come join us on Tuesday May 14th for a very special Story Time celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. We will be having a Shadow Puppet Show along with a Fish Kite Craft. The Story Time will begin at 10:30 a.m. If you can't make it to our Story Time, we will also be having a craft later in the day at 4:30 p.m. for anyone who missed out. I hope you can join us in celebrating this wonderful tradition. Also, while you are here in the library, make sure to check out these awesome reads:
As you may know, May is the month in which we celebrate Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month. A good way to celebrate is to read Asian/Pacific American literature. Below are some books that a New York City blogger who calls herself the Literanista lists as some of her favorite books by Asian or Asian-American authors. You can find these and many more through your neighborhood Harris County Public Library. The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood Among Ghosts by Maxine Hong Kingston
Information for Persons with Disabilities: Harris County Public Library will make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities who are interested in attending library programs. To make a request for yourself or someone you know, please notify the Branch Librarian two working days in advance of the program.
