More Picture Book Gems of 2012

 Here are a few more picture book gems that you may or may not have heard of.  I used several of these in my storytime, and they received rave reviews from children.  I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have.

With a few exceptions, mammals are animals that have fur/hair on their bodies, regulate their body temperature, nourish their young with milk and  they give birth to live young.

Some live in water. Some live in trees. All are mammals, and most do what they please. Can you guess what makes one of these animals from Australia distinctly different than the others?  I'll give you a hint; it has webbed feet and a bill. 2012 Summer Olympics

If you are like me,  you might find yourself staying up late to watch your favorite Summer Olympic events on TV. They have been so exciting to watch! Here are a few book so you can learn more about the Olympics and/or a specific event.  Let me know if I missed a sport that you enjoy. I would be happy to make additional suggestions.
