Adult Events this May @ Your Library

The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library is pleased to announce its events for Adults this May.  We will continue with TGIF Programs, various book clubs (mystery, great books, two science fiction/fantasy clubs, and YA Book Club for Adults (online)), Freeman Needlecrafters, Adult Crafts to Go, Clear Lake Area Writers (CLAW), SCORE Counseling, and Creator Space.

Learn how Northwest Dodge increased awareness and sales through effectively working within the community. Strategies to build your business through community volunteerism will be discussed.

This weekend: Business Seminar and Hispanic Dancers!

On Friday, October 4th, the library is hosting the second in the Business Success Seminar series. This month we are featuring Daniel Kainer, an LSC professor and small business owner who will be introducing Amazon.com’s Fulfillment sales program. Mr. Kainer will show you had you can create and build this program to sell your own products.

On Saturday, October 5th, as part of Hispanic Heritage month, the Tierra de Mis Raíces Dancers will perform dances from a number of Latin American countries—and then they will teach us how to dance with them. That’s at 1 p.m. in the library lobby. 

Business Success Seminars: The Fall Lineup

If you haven’t been to our free business seminars, consider this as advance notice of a good thing. HCPL, in partnership with Lone Star College Tomball and the Lone Star Small Business Development Center, are offering three more Friday sessions to improve profits in your business. This fall they will be held in the library’s meeting room, L 129, at 1:30 p.m. after the Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting the first Friday of September, October, and November. (The Chamber meets in the Beckendorf Center in the East Building of the College.) No registration is needed; just drop in and profit!

Social Media Marketing & Business Marketing/Branding Seminars

Join us in the Community Room at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11th and Saturday, May 25th for two different business seminars.  On Saturday, May 11th, SCORE will be sponsoring a presentation entitled, "Social Media Marketing Made Simple", presented by Celina Enamorado.  She will discuss how Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn can be  used as powerful business marketing tools.  

Build a Remarkable Brand

Business people these days are concerned about branding. A business' brand is more than its logo: it is the promise or experience that this business will deliver. The third in this year's Business Success Seminars is all about Building a Remarkable Brand.

, BCC Coach & Consultant of Marketing and More will take participants through the steps of building a remarkable business brand this Friday, May 3rd, at 1:30 p.m. It will be held in the East Hall of LSC-Tomball in Room E-177. Like all our programs, admission is free, and no pre-registration is required. Everyone is welcome.
