Chanukah

Happy Hanukkah!

At the Atascocita Branch Library, we recently had Rabbi Dan Gordon of Temple Beth Torah as a special guest for Twilight Tales Storytime. The program was very successful and we received several positive comments from families who partook. If you were not able to attend the program or simply want to expand your experience here are a few book suggestions for you to enjoy

Children re-tell the mystery

Happy Holidays! One of the things I love about this season is how children absorb the magic of their family’s holiday tradition by hearing and telling its stories.

As we course through Hanukkah, Al Hijra, Ashura, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Year’s, and Epiphany, a lot of wonderful stories are being re-lived.

Please share with us by sending links to your tradition’s favorites in the "Add New Comment" area below. My contribution is this delightful 21st century rendition of the Christmas story from children in Auckland, New Zealand.

For all of my friends who celebrate Hanukkah

I currently have a display of Hanukkah books in the children's area.  Feel free to stop by and check out our collection.  You can also order books online and have them sent to your community library. This is a free service.
