Good Luck Shamrocks

Need something lucky for this St Patrick’s Day? Then come join us this Thursday, March 13th at 4 pm for our holiday craft. We will be making lucky shamrock magnets. 

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE EAST TEXAS PRAIRIE

Remembering Christmas from years gone by,  Branch Librarian Carolyn Dial will tell stories from her program, "Little House on the East Texas Prairie." She will show early 1900's family crafts used to create Holiday presents. Ms. Dial will present this program on Wednesday, December 11th at the 11 am Story Time session in the Meeting Room. Decorate A Giant Egg @ North Channel

easter eggKids, decorate your own giant egg!  We'll be decorating giant eggs made out of poster board with glitter, sequins, jewels and more.  Come make an egg and enjoy some bunny treats too!  The fun starts at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, March 20th.  Be sure to hop on by!

Want To Be A Library Super Hero?

It is really easy! The only thing you need to do is come celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day with us on Saturday February 2nd from 11 am to 12 pm at the Galena Park Branch and make a pair of special super hero glasses that will make the world change color. But don’t forget, every library super hero has a library card. So if you do not have one, don’t worry, you can apply for a card when you come or just fill out an application online. Hope to see your there super heroes!

Dragoneers for 2013!

Dragoneers will be starting 2013 with a bang!  The book club for school age children reading chapter books will have a craft on Thursday, January 10, at 4 pm making masks using balloons.  Miss Connie has said that you can make masks or helmets.

On Magical Monday, January 14, there will be a craft celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King. The Kingwood Library will be closed the following Monday, January 21 for the day.

 

Soft as Snow Storytime

This story time is intended for children 3-6 and will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday January 8th.  Make sure to grab a free ticket at the information desk.

Make a Bird Feeder

Do you love birds?  Do you want to see more birds in your neighborhood?  Would you like to treat birds to a tasty treat?  Then join us on January 12th, from 2 PM to 3 PM to make a simple bird feeder.  This program is for children and teens. 

Deck the Library’s Hall with Sparkling Stars!!

Come help us decorate the library by making a glittering, sparkling, colorful star this Thursday, December 6th from 4 to 5 pm and Saturday, December 8th from 10 am to 12 pm. Your stars will be displayed on the windows.
Vengan ayudarnos a decorar la biblioteca haciendo una brillante y colorida estrella este Jueves, 06 de diciembre de 4 a 5pm  y Sábado, 08 de diciembre de 10 am a 12pm. Sus estrellas se mostrarán en las ventanas.
