Celebrate Earth Day with Recycled Crafts!

        The Children's Department will be celebrating Earth Day on Monday, April 22 at 4:30 pm with some fun crafts made from recycled materials: egg cartons, stickers, beads and lots of other items.  Children ages 5 and above are encouraged to come and let their imagination lead them in making fun items.

Tickets are required.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk starting 30 minutes before the program.

Turkey Craft Program for Children

  Looking for some craft fun for the children during the Thanksgiving holiday break?  Join us on Tuesday, November 20 at 2:30 pm as we put together a paper turkey that you can use for a table decoration or hang up on a wall.  This program is recommended for children 4-12 years old.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk starting 30 minutes before the program. 

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

   Join us Thursday, October 4 at 6:30 pm for a special evening storytime to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.  The storytime is designed for preschool age children and their families.  It will feature stories, songs, and a craft.  The craft will be a dough ornament for the children to take home and decorate.   Tickets are required.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk starting 30 minutes before the program.   For more information on this program and other programs for children, please call us at 281-488-1906.

April Programs in the Children's Department

Now that springtime is in full bloom, get out in the fresh air and join us for some fun children's programs this month.   Toddler Time is held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 11:15 am.   It is for children 18 months to 3 years old along with a parent or caregiver.   Preschool Storytime is held on Tuesday & Wednesday at 1:30 pm.  It is for children 3-5 years old along with a parent or caregiver.  Twilight Tales is held every Thursday night at 6:30 pm.  It is a storytime that follows the themes of the toddler and preschool storytimes.  It is designed for preschool age on up.   All storytimes require tickets.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk starting 30 minutes before the program.   Here are the themes f
