Easter Traditions

This year, Easter is celebrated on the last day of March in the Western world. If you're curious about a few of the typical traditions surrounding the holiday, try these books:

Decorate A Giant Egg @ North Channel

easter eggKids, decorate your own giant egg!  We'll be decorating giant eggs made out of poster board with glitter, sequins, jewels and more.  Come make an egg and enjoy some bunny treats too!  The fun starts at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, March 20th.  Be sure to hop on by!

Happy Holidays

No, that’s not a typo.  This is a Springtime edition of Happy Holidays, because this weekend brings us both Passover and Easter.  These are celebrations that bring families together and encourage even the youngest members to participate.  While tradition usually dictates our observance of the holidays, there are also DVDs and videos for children that give us the true meanings of the holidays – and some of the fun things, too.
