Hurricane season is here, are you ready? We will be hearing from the Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management next Tuesday at 6:30 PM.  Join us as we get evacuation tips and find out if your disaster emergency kit is good enough.  Topics will include what you can do before the season start to prepare your home, what needs to be done when the storm is on it’s way, how to survive during the storm, and what needs to be done during the aftermath. Be Aware, Be Prepared - Hurricane Season is Here!

hurrican pictureBE AWARE, BE PREPARED.  Come to a presentation on HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS presented at the CyFair College Branch of HCPL on Tuesday, September 22, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm in room 215 of the Library.  The Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management will provide tips on how to keep yourself and your family safe and more comfortable should we have to survive a hurricane again this year.  OHSEM will also answer your questions.  The library also has an informative display featuring free brochures on hurricane preparedness and a free hurricane tracking chart to be used on your computer.

Hurricane Evacuation Route SignOn Tuesday, September 8th at 2 PM the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management will present a hurricane preparedness workshop at the Aldine Branch Library. Come and learn responsibilities during a hurricane, get evacuation tips, and find out if your disaster emergency kit is adequate.
