Football, Football, Football!

footballs on a fieldFootball season is here! At least that’s what the radio tells me. This morning while I was sitting in traffic, I quickly noticed that every single station was discussing opening weekend, speculating on how the Texans will do this season, or finalizing fantasy football teams. I admit, this wasn’t my favorite thing to listen to during my commute, but it did get me thinking about movies. I may not be the world’s (or even the library’s) biggest football fan, but I do like good football movies. They make me think of fall and marching bands, team spirit and hot dogs, and standing on the bleachers at

college, cheering on my team.

Let's Hear it for the Tie!

Okay, perhaps my wearing the Texas A&M tie on Saturday did not have anything to do with Aggies scoring a major upset over 21st ranked Texas Tech! Still, sports fans are full of superstitions and I am willing to wear the A&M tie every Aggie game for the rest of the year as long as they keep winning.
