Learn to Borrow Library eBooks for Kindle Devices!

This Friday, December 14,  we will present two classes on downloading free eBooks from the library to your Kindle device!  The first half of each class will cover the HCPL Digital Media Catalog and searching for books. The last half of each class will cover the downloading process.  Join us @ at 1:30 PM  for the Kindle Fire; 3:00 PM for other Kindle devices. These free classes require registration. Kids Movie On July 2nd & Holiday Craft On July 3rd

Monday, July 2nd, @ 3:30 pm.  Movie & Popcorn We will be showing a movie on our BIG screen!  It's time to join Flynn and Rapunzel as they get "Tangled" in a wild adventure! This movie is rated PG and has a running time of 100 minutes. We will be sitting on the floor, so you will want to  bring a small pillow, blanket, or lovey to get comfortable for the show. Popcorn will be provided; a water fountain can be found in the lobby. Tickets are not required for this program but space is limited. 
Tuesday, July 3rd, @ 3:30 pm Fourth of July Craft - Tickets are Required Kids and Tweens get ready to celebrate Independence Day by making an awesome craft! 

The Summer Thriller Theater at GP

Are you tired of all of this Summer Heat?  My friends the meteorologists say that it is going to get even warmer.  One good way to stay cool is to beat the heat at your local library.  At the Galena Park Branch, we will be showing a series of free movies throughout the summer.  Yep... it is a free movie and free is always free.  Rest assured that we will be playing some of the most interesting movies ever.  Our next movie will be a show about some animated toys.  I really think that a lot of you will like this.  It will be two movies shown back to back starting at 2:00 PM on Thursday 17 June 2010.  Feel free to bring your own snacks to the movie!!
