150 Children will have an opportunity to create their very own book bag for FREE!

This program is for children ages 3 to 12 years old.

Aloha! 

Do you know that the month of May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month? To celebrate, we are having a Hawaiian Luau for children, ages 3 to 12 years old, and their families.  This is a free program, and it will include a puppet show that is loosely based on the Hawaiian folk-tale, * "Battle of the Owls." 

Lunar New Year program is full, but there is a waiting list.

As of this morning, the Lunar New Year Program is full.  In the event that a family is unable to make the program, we ask that they contact the library so we may call someone on our waiting list. Thank you! 

Children and their families are invited to join a special program to celebrate the Lunar New Year. We will explore the legend of the Chinese Dragon and create a dazzling painted horse! This program has been designed for children ages 3 to 12 years old. 

 

Summer Reading Carnival for Families!

We are having a party and your family is invited! Marsha’s Petting Zoo will offer children the opportunity to pet and play with farm animals, as well as, several that are a bit more exotic.  There will be llamas, fawns, calves, piglets, chickens, and more! 

When: Tuesday, June 4th, from 3 - 5 pm.

Parents: Don’t forget sunscreen and cameras!

Teen Gaming For the Family


During Summer, families are invited to the Teen Game Room to play one of our E-rated Wii or PS3 games!  Come join in the fun and try out our family friendly computer games any Thursday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.  All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by parents. Standard Game Room rules for teens apply to all gamers. For more information, please contact the Adult Reference staff on the second floor or call the library at 281-360-6804.

 

 

Houston Grand Opera Will Be @ The Atascocita Branch Library!

 

I am excited to announce that on Monday, April 16th,  Opera to Go will be here to present 'The Clever Wife-A Chinese Folktale' and you are invited to attend. 

You do not want to miss this incredible program which has been created specifically for children and their families.
