TAX HELP @ YOUR LIBRARY

LAST chance!  If you need help preparing your taxes, now is the time to come to the North Channel Library. Thursday, April 11th,  from noon to 4 pm, the experienced pros from AARP will be here to prepare tax returns for low income and elderly customers. Please bring your tax return from last year as well as your W-2's and other papers for this year. You may sign-up as early as 10 am this Thursday inside the Library! Would You Like Help With Your Taxes?

Do you dread having to do your taxes? Need Help? 

Each week through April 15th, AARP will be here on Mondays to assist tax filers with electronic tax returns. You do not have to be an AARP member to benefit from this program. In fact, it is free to to anyone needing assistance with most standard tax return filings.  

The program begins at 10:00 am and will run through 2:00 pm. Please be aware that it is offered as a first come first served basis, and make sure to bring appropriate documents.

Tax Help Returns to the Kingwood Library!

AARP Tax Help returns once again for patrons needing help filling out tax forms.  This free service will be available in the library Meeting Room every Wednesday starting February 6, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Help will be given on a first-come first-served basis.  For more information please contact the library @ 281-360-6804.

April 12th is your last chance!!  The **FREE** AARP tax help program ends with the Thursday, April 12th session. Please come into the North Channel Library starting at 10 am to sign up for your time slot. AARP volunteers will see customers from 12 to 4 pm this Thursday. AARP Tax Help isn't just for AARP members!

The Baldwin Boettcher Library confused many of our customers.  The AARP tax help is free and is offered to anyone who may need help getting their taxes done.  This free service is not just for AARP members.  You must have the social security cards of all the people on the return, have your 2009 tax return and finally gather all your 2010 tax papers, such as 1099's W2's, house information for those of you who own a home.  Did you contribute to a retirement account?  Bring that too.  Our specially trained AARP tax helpers will complete your taxes and file electronically.  The IRS is encouraging paperless transactions.  So if you want free tax help come on Monday between 1 and 6 pm, Wednesday between 10 am and 5 pm, Friday between 1 and 5 pm and Saturday between 12 and 4 pm.  Our great AARP team will happily file your return.  If you have any questions, call the Baldwin Boettcher Library at 281-821-1320 and we will answe
