The branch can’t thank Insperity Observatory enough for coming out last Saturday. Not only did we get an amazing presentation on observing the Sun, but we were also treated to a viewing with a solar telescope. Seeing sun spots a solar flares was just the coolest thing ever, so thank you.
The Aldine Branch would like to thank Carl Rosa from the Japan-America Society of Houston for coming to the branch last Thursday and enlightening customers on the Japanese culture. The highlight was without a doubt the over thirty different flavors of Kit Kat bars Mr. Rosa has collected while traveling to the country. Nothing exemplifies Japanese ingenuity like a potato flavored Kit Kat. I’m more of a buttered corn Kit Kat person myself though. Yum!
