lunar new year

Lunar New Year program is full, but there is a waiting list.

Update Jan. 23, 2014

As of this morning, the Lunar New Year Program is full.  In the event that a family is unable to make the program, we ask that they contact the library so we may call someone on our waiting list. Thank you!

Children and their families are invited to join a special program to celebrate the Lunar New Year. We will explore the legend of the Chinese Dragon and create a dazzling painted horse! This program has been designed for children ages 3 to 12 years old.

Families are invited to join the Lunar New Year activities that will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 1st @ 4:00 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to broaden the cultural learning.

During the program Ms Susan and I will share a few of our favorite books, and children may create a Chinese zodiac craft.

I have inculed a booklist and craft ideas below for those of you who are not able to attend.
