Looking for something new to read? Join us for an afternoon of "book speed dating" and book swapping. Also enjoy book related snacks and games. For the book swap, bring any gently read books that you would like to trade. You will be issued a ticket for each book that you can redeem for another book.

Want to amaze your friends and family? Want to impress that special someone? Want to add magic to your performing resume? Learn fantastic magic tricks with professional magician Julian Franklin. Space is limited so registration is required.

The Path of a German Folktale

 The German folk-tale, Hänsel and Gretel  was first created by Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm. Over the years, their work been passed down and translated in many languages. They are now known simply as "The Brothers Grimm." The selection below is just a small sample of the adaptations of Hänsel and Gretel which have been created over the years.  I hope you enjoy discovering or revisiting this classic tale.

Wednesday, July 21, 3pm and repeated at 4pm.  Your favorite clown, Ronald McDonald will delight you with this fun-filled magic show!  Free!  Tickets available 30 minutes before show time.  Children must be able to sit through the program without a parent present.  Ages 6 and up.

I am excited to announce that the Atascocita Branch Library, summer reading kick off celebration, will highlight the talents of magician Steve Burton! Audience participation will be encourage, and the program will include live animals, comedy, music and special treats for all his helpers.
