I had a great response from my last blog Mixed Matched Middle Readers for mature readers.  So, I wanted to share a few more titles on this level that I think you will also enjoy.  Please make a comment below if you are interested in a  specific genre and would like additional suggestions.

You have been to the pool, you did the family vacation thing and summer is slowing down. Many of you might not know what to do with all of that free time. So, here is a smorgasbord of book suggestions for mature readers.  This booklist includes a little bit of everything in hopes that you find that "perfect" book.  Happy reading.

Gary Soto's books, are sprinkled with Spanish expressions and phrases, and typically portray Mexican-American children and teenagers growing up in California. Although many of his characters are Mexican-American, all readers can easily identify with the situations and emotions of growing up that Soto presents.
