Picture of shadow puppets are meant to be displayed here.Thursday, January 24 we are building puppets.  On the fourth Thursday of the month here at the Katherine Tyra Library we invite children ages 3 and up to come enjoy an hour of engineering and original creative genius!  This Thursday we are constructing puppets!  I hope you can join us!  This program is intended for children 3+.

Hora de cuentos en la biblioteca!

Parents, please bring your preschool children and join us for Storytime on Wednesdays at 11 am each week. We will share stories, sing songs and do finger rhymes! For more information, please call: 713-450-0982

Padres, favor de traer a sus hijos a nuestra hora de cuentos, todos los miércoles a las 11 am. Contaremos cuentos, cantaremos, y jugaremos! Recomendado para niños de 3 a 6 años. Para más información favor de llamar al 713-450-0982.

Jumpstart for Preschoolers: January 11th, 10:00 and 10:30 AM

Jumpstart will be here next Tuesday, January 11th for preschool storytime. Jumpstart is a fun program which uses games and pretending to get kids moving. Because the size of our room and the active nature of the program, which limits us to 15 participating children at a time, two jumpstart sessions will be offered back to back. Please pick up your tickets for the 10:00 a.m. or the 10:30 a.m. program at the reference desk.

PRESCHOOL STORY TIME: TUESDAYS @ 1:30 PM

Three to six year old children and parents are invited to join us for Preschool Story Time on Tuesdays at 1:30 pm. Senior Children's Assistant Kimberly Tiller shares her favorite stories, old and new! Plus we share songs, fingerplays and occassional crafts! Come join in the fun!
