Santa

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Santa is on his way!

School is out early for the Christmas break on Friday and you know what that means!  Santa is coming to the Maud Marks Library.  Join us this Friday from 1-5 PM as we celebrate our annual Santa's Ranch.  We will have special treats, games, crafts, and holiday music.  Make a gingerbread house, or get your facepainted.  And, of course, don't forget to visit Santa himself.

The Maud Marks Library would like to thank the Friends of the Maud Marks Library and musical groups from Taylor High School for making this day possible.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Have you made your Christmas list yet? It's that time of year again and Holiday Cheer is spreading like wildfire. Come join us at High Meadows Library as we welcome the biggest giver of Holiday cheer, Santa Claus! On Thursday December 19th at 5:00 p.m. Santa Claus will make his visit to High Meadows library.  Bring your Christmas list and your joyful spirits. Take pictures with Santa and a few of his special Reindeer. Then, enjoy a nice story as Santa reads  A Night before Christmas. Don't miss out on this wonderful time. See you here!

Holiday Cheer @ HCPL

Whether you're gung-ho for the gift-giving and gatherings that mark this most festive of seasons, or you're struggling to work up even a modicum of that ever-illusive holiday cheer, Harris County Public Library is here for you. We have lots of seasonal programs ranging from choral concerts and puppet shows, to crafts for all ages and  holiday movie screenings guaranteed to gladden even the grinchiest heart. Santa himself will be stopping by from time to time for pictures and naughty/nice list updates.

But maybe best of all, we'll be here when you need to take a step back from all the ho-ho-ho hubbub, or just want to browse shelves filled with a very different kind of holiday magic. We'll be here when you absolutely must find a recipe that will make your mother-in-law swoon, we'll be here to help you find the right sources for that project you want to finish up so it won't be hanging over your head like some evil parody of mistletoe, and we'll be here when you just need a calm place to sit and breathe.

Harris County Public Library is your one stop shop for holiday cheer! Below are just some of the happenings around HCPL this month!
