School Summer Reading Lists

The Week @ the Katy Library – June 14th Edition

Summer If you’re going into the 8th grade in Katy ISD, we’ll be showing the movie version of your summer reading list books.  The first one is Monday at 3:30pm.  Then, come on Wednesday, 6/16, at 2:00pm for our Teen Goofy Relay Races.

For kids this week we have all our fun storytimes as well as the annual Father’s Day Cardmaking on Tuesday at 2:00pm.  Be sure to get a ticket to attend on Monday.

Summer Reading Lists

Summer reading lists for Cy-fair and Katy Independent School Districts are now online. The Bear Creek Library also keeps a copy of both lists at the reference desk for you to look at while you visit the library. Get your books early before the summer rush because while many of the recommended summer reading books are currently on the shelf, they fly off the shelf once summer gets started. If you need a book that is already checked out, get on the waiting list early so that you can complete your summer reading before school begins.
