Sharks and Rays Exhibit

The Galena Park Branch will once again host an exhibit of the Sharks and Rays. The event will take place on July 7th at 3PM. Don't worry, they wont bite. I will make sure that they are well under control. During this exhibit, all persons interested will be able to get and upclose encounter with either a small shark or small ray. Make sure to ask a lot of questions. Don't forget to bring your camera.

Texas Parks & Wildlife and the Shark

The week after the Parks people visited the library with their sharks and rays, a bull shark was caught in the Trinity River near Liberty. Here is the bull shark they brought to the library.

 

More Summer Reading Programs

Summer programs continue to be great! We have had stinky sharks and rays from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. Always a great hit with the kids. 

The Omni Yoga Center came and stretched, balanced and relaxed everyone.

 

Tomorrow at 10:30 am, there is a marionette performance of Rumpelstiltskin. Always great fun.
