ZumbaIf you’ve never attended a Zumba class with Otilia Gonzalez, you’re really missing out!  You can burn off a bunch of calories and have a blast doing it.  Join us at 2:00 pm tomorrow (Thursday, 7/24) and see for yourself.  After all, it’s way too hot to exercise outside!

Fun Fitness for Adults at Kingwood Branch Library

Belly DancingAre the dog days of summer starting to get boring? Consider visiting the library in the upcoming weeks for fun and active programs for adults!

On Saturday, July 27th, from 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM, we will have a Zumba fitness class presented by Embody Fitness Center. This is a one time program so you won't want to miss out! Zumba is a cardio class that will get you moving to beats like salsa and hip hop.

On Thursday June 20th, the Aldine Library had its first Zumba class. Adults enjoyed gathering in the Meeting Room and participating in a fast-paced workout with dance and aerobic elements. This week, the Zumba class will not be meeting. Also, the library will be closed on Thursday, July 4th. Zumba at the Aldine Library will resume on Thursday, July 11th at 5 PM.

Get Those Kids Moving!

ZumbaIt’s too hot to exercise outside, so how can your children burn off all that excess energy?  You could try checking out a kid-friendly exercise video from your library.  We recently discovered that Zumba really gets them moving.  In addition to Zumba DVDs, the library also has Denise Austin’s Fit Kids, Get Act

Dancing and working out. What could it be? It's Zumba for little ones you see! Dance and exercise is a great combination. The only requirement is good concentration!

The Aldine Library had a fun and exciting Little Zumba dance workout for children on the afternoon of June 12th. A Zumba instructor was on hand to lead children in this energizing workout.

Zumba!

Adults, have you heard of Zumba? It's an exercise routines that feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms. It's a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! And it's coming to the Aldine Library! Beginning THURSDAY, JUNE 20TH, Zumba will be offered in the Meeting Room from 5-6 PM. A trained instructor will be here to lead the class.
