Banned Book Week September 26 - October 3
This is the twenty-eighth annual celebration of Banned Book Week and of the freedom to read. Many books have been challenged and pulled from library shelves. The American Library Association has lists and information on books that have been controversial. Some of the books that have been challenged are:
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett
Come see my display for more books to read.
