BOOK CLUB BUZZ FOR SEPTEMBER

The kids will soon be in school again, so now you will have time to do something fun for yourself.  Join in a great discussion about the books you’ve read.  

The Afternoon Book Discussion meets to chat about their fiction selection of choice. In September, they will review The Accidental Tourist by Anne Tyler, who has twice won the Pulitzer Prize for her work.  The Nonfiction Book Discussion will review Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell in September.  He is also known for his international bestseller, Blink.

If you prefer a little mystery in your life, join other mystery readers in September for a discussion of Pushing Up Daisies by Rosemary Harris. Harris sparked interest in her series when she spoke at the library in May this year. Perhaps the Inspirational/Christian Book Club is just what you want. This Side of Heaven, by Karen Kingsburywill be reviewed in September.   For those who enjoy a mixture of romance, classical literature or historical fiction, join the After Austen Book club. Their next selection, Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict: A Novel by Laurie Viera Rigler should provide a lively discussion for all who attend.
