Evening Book Club
The March selection for the Evening Book Club, which meets the first Monday of the month at the Maud Marks Branch Library will be discussing Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know-- and Doesn’t by Stephen Prothero. This title tackles the controversial subject of teaching religion, arguing that religion should be a mandatory subject in American public schools, contending that most Americans can not even identify the basic tenets of their faiths and that key political challenges can be better met with faith-based resolutions.
