Holiday Programs coming your way

CarolersDo the cooler temps make it feel like the holidays yet? Either way, we have a variety of programs coming your way to get you thinking about the holidays!

Before we get into the entertaining stuff, let's remember the holiday season isn't all about fun and games. Crime can happen at any time of year or day and we want to help you stay safe! Get safety tips from Houston Police Department's Dwayne Ulrich on Monday, December 2nd at 5:30 PM. Learn about practical ways to keep safe whether you're staying at home or traveling for all ages.

For a musical treat, be sure to stop by the library the following performances:

  • Monday, December 9, 4:30 PM: Kingwood Park High School Madrigals
  • Thursday, December 12, 5:00 PM: North Harris County Dulcimer Society
  • Tuesday, December 17, 3:30 PM: Kingwood High School Madrigals

All performances will be on the 1st Floor Checkout area.

snowman pinWe also have crafts-galore this December for all ages! On Thursday, December 12th at 6:30 PM, stop by the Teen Room to make a snowman pin. This is a come and go craft and open to all ages while supplies last. Children can participate in Magical Mondays and drop by Thursdays, December 12, 19, and 26th at 4:00 PM for craft time and merry-making. Teens can visit the Teen Room on Thursday, December 5th at 4:30 PM to decorate the Teen Tree with self-made ornaments while enjoying hot cocoa and candy canes. Want more? Come to our monthly Crafttastic on Tuesday, December 17th at 4:30 PM to make your own mini-snow globe. No worries if you can't make it that day. Supplies will be available the following day as take-out crafts while supplies last. For adults, join us for our monthly Crafternoon on Friday, December 13th at 2:30 PM to make a felt ornament.

No registration is required for craft programs. All supplies are provided courtesy of FOLK and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
