The Holidays Have Arrived! Are You Ready?

It's beginning to look (and feel) a lot like the December holidays.  Are you ready?!  If not, don't worry at all!  The Maud Marks Library has a number of ways to prepare for the winter holidays.

Are you still trying to find that perfect holiday card for that special someone?  Why not make it yourself?  The Maud Marks Library will be hosting a special one time class on how to make holiday cards tomorrow night, Tuesday, December 1 at 7 PM.  We'll be learning how to make our own cards on the computer and even print one per person.  This class size is extremely limited so click here to register.

Are you still trying to get into that holiday spirit of giving?  On Friday, December 4 from 6 AM to 6 PM, The Maud Marks Library will be a host site for ABC13's annual Share Your Holidays food drive.  We will be partnering with Katy Christian Ministries to collect food for Katy families in need of assistance.  Come just to drop your nonperishable food off or stay to enjoy our entertainment.  We will have Taylor High School Jazz Band perform at 9:30 AM and a handbell quartet performing at 4 PM.

Are you looking for that perfect gift for the technology lover in your life?  The Maud Marks Library is hosting Technogifts for the Holidays on Tuesday, December 8 at 7 PM.  Try out the latest in reading and gaming technology.  We will have on hand a Kindle2, SonyReader, Ipod Touch, MP3 and more!  Seating for this program is limited so click here to register.

Finally, you have all your gifts and it's time to wrap them up.  Come to the library to create your very own personalized gift tags.  On Tuesday, December 15 at 7 PM, the Maud Marks Library will host a one-time class on how to make holiday gift tags.  Make one to place on every gift you are giving this season.  This class size is extremely limited so click here to register.
