  • Oral
  • Traditional

  • Anonymous
  • Formulaic

Visitors to the Aldine library can find out more about folklore of Texas by checking out 2001: a Texas Folklore Odyssey. This publication covers a broad sampling of the research that members of the society were doing at the turn of the millennium as represented at the 1998, 1999, and 2000 meetings. Topics include baby lore, miraculous apparitions in South Texas, and the origins of traditional old-time fiddling.
