That's Mo Willems, the author of numerous picture books, including three Caldecott Honor Books. Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! may be a familiar one to many. My favorite are his Elephant and Piggie series. Willems uses simple illustrations that convey a great deal of emotion.
