..try, try, try again!
It is getting close to that time of year when High School Seniors will be graduating and making life decisions concerning what career choices to make. My son finds himself in this particular situtation. He is not quite sure of what his next step should be so I find myself encouraging him with this oldie but a goody, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again". Perseverance is defined as a steady course of action in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
One author in particular did not give up because of a failed attempt. Nicholas Sparks wrote his first novel as a freshman in college yet he never tried to publish his first work THE PASSING. His attempt to publish his second novel THE ROYAL MURDERS led to countless rejection letters. It wasn't until 1994 that he decided to give writing another shot which was the beginning of many best selling novels that were to come.
This is just one example of a person who perservered. I am sure there are many stories like this that would be an encouragement to all. Take time to share your story of inspiration with others. Best wishes to those that are preparing to graduate, may the opportunities ahead lead you to great accomplishments.
