We Appreciate Our Volunteers!!

Volunteer's Mad Tea Party

It was "A Mad Tea Party," as over 65 people filled the Earl Elliott Room for the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on April 19. Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer Nandlal was the chief planner and organizer of this event, which thanked the many people who donate their time as processors of holds, menders, shelvers, book store sellers, and knitters of blankets and chemo caps for the Knowledge Exchange. Over 10,979 hours of service were provided by these volunteers, which is equivalent to adding 5.25 full-time employees. Harris County values this work at $16.84 per hour, for a total donation of $184,886!
