Allow you child to volunteer and they will broaden their humanitarian sensitivity and be more balanced. They will grow into generous givers and strong leaders. Help find ways your child can volunteer in your neighborhood or the community. Greg Mortenson, author of "Three Cups of Tea", "Stones into Schools" and "Listen to the Wind", encourages children to look for needs around them and then find a way to volunteer their time and gifts to help make a difference in the world. He often talks about one child in Florida, Zach Bonner, who saw a need and with the help of his father, developed a foundation to help others which is called The Little Red Wagon Foundation.
