Mariachis at Aldine

Join us Saturday, October 3rd for another Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. There will be a mariachi performance at 3pm in the meeting room. The musicians will share what it is like to perform as well.

Different Voices in Our Choices

The Aldine Library staff have chosen 10 books to put on display in the book display case in the branch lobby. First Things First, by Kurt and Brenda Warner, explores the formula for success for these parents of seven who are going into their 12th year of marriage.

Computer Classes for a Limited Time

Starting Wednesday, September 24th a volunteer will be teaching an introductory Internet class at the Aldine Branch Library. Dedication Elation

Library staff & customers, clergy, and YMCA representatives were on hand at the Aldine Library to dedicate crape myrtle trees and Aztec grass on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 15th. The celebration, which kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month 2009 at the Aldine Branch Library, began with introductory remarks and a short speech by Ms. Claudia Sanchez of the YMCA. Father Giantonio Baggio then led the attendees in prayer before blessing the trees and the library building.
