Staff Picks: Everything Bad is Good for You: how today's popular culture is actually making us smarter

It seems as if there’s constantly some article or test out there designed to prove how dumb pop culture has made us.  This book takes the opposite view.  With a fascinating series of examples the author explores the ways in which the evolution of video games and television serve both as an indication of and incitement to the development of a more complex and textured understanding of the world.

Everything bad is good for you.
