Friends of the Bear Creek Open House

The Friends of the Library Open House was a huge success last Saturday. They had good food, free books, Valentine crafts and lots of fun! Thanks to everyone who participated.

New Children's Librarian

I am pleased and excited to introduce myself as the new children's librarian at the Katherine Tyra Branch Library. Although I am not new to Harris County libraries, I have only been a children's librarian at Bear Creek a little less than a month. In that short period of time, I have met many of the regular Bear Creek customers and families and look forward to getting to  know all of you. If you haven't already done so, please stop by and say "hi" because I'd love to meet you and hear your thoughts on how the children's department can keep the Bear Creek library a welcoming, supportive and FUN place for kids.

Black History Month Sunday @ the Movies

February is a month of celebration, and the library is no exception! Join us as we celebrate Black History Month on Sunday, February 21st. We will be watching an inspiring movie at 2 PM in the meeting room. Call the branch for title and rating information.
