The Raven, Black Cat, & Other Haunting Tales

The Raven, Black Cat, The Tell Tale Heart, The Pit and the Pendulum, Murders in the Rue Morgue, and many, many more.  Edgar Allen Poe wrote some of the most gruesome and let's face it depressing poetry and short stories of any age.  Which makes him absolutely perfect for a program at Halloween.  Come and enjoy the works of Edgar Allen Poe during Teen Time on Monday, October 25th at 4pm.  All teens are welcome, costumes are optional and there will be many, many treats.

Bear Creek Mystery Book Club

Join us on November 17th at 11:00 am to discuss Robert Parker's Widow's Walk.  If you are a fan of Private Investigator Spenser this is the place to be.  We will have some great conversations and good snacks too.

Super Movie, Superhero!

Do you like movies? If you answered “Yes” then you should check out our FREE program, Sunday @ the Movies. Every Sunday at 2 PM we show a new movie. Coming soon to our library is a movie about a superhero. Can you guess which superhero it is? To find out if you’re right, you can either call the library for title and rating information or you can ask at the Information Desk!

Little Friends, Big Hearts

A big thanks to Hannah and Kayla for their contribution to the Bear Creek Friends of the Library carpet fund. Hannah and Kayla raised $20 each selling cookies at a bake sale in their neighborhood. Staff at the Bear Creek Library are very grateful for the girls' hard work and contributions, which may make them our youngest benefactors. Thank you also to the Bear Creek Friends of the Library and to Hanna and Kayla's  mother Michelle, who has worked hard to garner support in the community and among moms at storytimes for the work done by the friends.
